After our seacoast fun we went for a swim at the town beach in Naples. We were greeted by a visit from the Songo River Queen. This may be the last year of its existence, since the state of Maine is considering welding the bridge between Long Lake and Brandy Pond (which flows into Sebego Lake). Tourists are complaining about the long wait for the bridge when it opens to let the River Queen go through. Welding the bridge would detract from the quaintness of the area. I vote NO! savethebridge.org
