On Thursday, Cassidy became the proud owner of a lip bumper and a retainer. She was having some difficulty as a result of a
cross-bite. The retainer (top) has a spring in it which pushes her left-front tooth out. She chose a green one, of course! The lip bumper, which is anchored to her back molars keeps her lip muscles from pushing in on her bottom teeth. Over time, this will allow them to expand outward as her pallate grows. It will take some time for her to get used to these new friends. She has trouble saying her d's and g's especially. I just pray that she doesn't lose the appliances. :

WOW, I didn't realize her teeth were so bad. But it will be worth it all in the end Cassidy when you have beautiful teeth!!!
